Doomben 10,000 winner Sea Siren is now at $5.00 (4/1) to win the Stradbroke despite not being a certain starter for the big Grp 1 race at Eagle Farm on June 9. The exceptional 3YO filly is expected to cop a weight penalty for yesterday's win - and trainer John O'Shea is warning that a penalty could mean SS will miss the Straddie. Buffering, the one-time fav for the race when betting first opened, has firmed from $15 to $9.50. Tigers Tees remains the worst result for TAB Sportsbet - after opening $51 he's now into $9. Some bookies reckon trainer Peter Moody holds a 'mortgage' on the Queensland Derby after Brambles beat home stablemate Vatuvei in the Grand Prix. Brambles is now clear fav at $2.80, slashed in from $6.50 after romping in by 3.25 lens. Vatuvei will be much improved for the run after returning from a month off and will relish the distance of the Queensland Derby. He firmed from $8 to $4.50.
