John Sadler has had no hesitation in pitting his stayer Linton against champion Black Caviar in the Grp 1 William Reid Stakes 1200m at Moonee Valley on March 22. JS says: ''Forget about Black Caviar. Barring accidents, she'll win but it is a nice race for him to have a good gallop over 1200 metres on a track he likes.'' Linton's 2012 spring was a disappointment but Sadler believes he has the grey back to his best. He is targetting the Grp 1 Doncaster Mile at Randwick on April 20.
