Royal Ascot 2400-metre winner Opinion could be on his way to Australia for the Melbourne Cup.
Owned by the same people who raced Distinction who ran in the 2003 and 2004 Cups, Opinion is trained by Sir Michael Stoute, who also mentored Distinction. Owned by Harry Herbert’s Highclere Thoroughbred Racing, Opinion scored a solid win ridden by Ryan Moore in the Duke Of Edinburgh Handicap and Herbert immediately made the Melbourne Cup ‘call’.
