The other big firmer for the Caulfield Guineas was impressive Rosehill winner Proisir who is in from $51 to $15. Black Caviar's half-brother All Too Hard struggled behind Pierro and has blown from $4.80 to $15 for the Guineas.
Saturday's racing triggered changes in the markets on the Caulfield and Melbourne Cup and again it was Gai Waterhouse in the mix. Her imported galloper Glencadam Gold tightened from $51 into $26 for the Caulfield Cup after his win in the Premier Cup at Rosehill while Green Moon firmed from $13 to $11 after his bold 5th in the Memsie Stakes. Alan Eskander says: 'They'd be delighted with that run, coming from where he did on a track favouring those up front. He could go one better than he did last year. The other big firmer in the Caulfield Cup for us was Ocean Park. We wound him in from $26 to $17 after his win in the Group One at Hastings and he's a serious contender in either the Cox Plate ($26 to $13) or the Caulfield Cup.' (www.betstar.com.au).
