The jumps people are basically saying: 'Please, let us continue, even if we race on one leg.' It's a sad, unedifying spectacle to see these genuine racing people forced to drop to their knees and plead for another chance. Personally, I feel they have next to no chance. Whether it's now, or next year, or the year after that, the jumps are finished. I certainly wouldn't be buying a horse with a view to building him up for a jumps career.
