This morning's shock scratching of Hay List from Sat's Newmarket Handicap ensures Black Caviar will start the shortest priced fav in the race's history but Betstar's Alan Eskander says that hasn't stopped the flood of money for Peter Moody's super mare. 'We took one bet of $20,000 at $1.30 this morning and she's tightened even further into $1.23. You just don't see them as short as that in Group 1s but with Hay List out, her job is just that bit easier now,' says Eskander. He advises that there's been plenty of business on the Australian Cup with punters keen on ruling fav Heart of Dreams and Bart Cummings' runner Precedence. AE says: 'They quinellad the St George (Stakes) and it's been the best guide to the Australian Cup in recent years. We've taken a bet today of $2,000 on Heart of Dreams at $5 (now into $4.60) and Precedence has firmed into $6.50. There's also been a bit of interest around David Hayes's import Laristan. Hayes was spruiking the horse's chances on radio this morning and we laid one bet on it to lose $75,000 so it's in to $ 41.'

Betstar reports 'plenty of action' on key Flemington races apart from the Newmarket. Alan Eskander told PPD: 'Whobegotyou's a solid $1.80 fav for the Blamey Stakes and Brazilian Pulse is all the rage in the Kewney (Stakes). She's been $5.50 into $4.40 including a bet of $20,000 at the $5.50 and punters think her class will prevail. The other big go is Undeniably in the last. It looked an open race on paper but it's a bit like with Black Caviar in the Newmarket - all one-way traffic.'
