Guy Walter says the Doncaster is out

Guy Walter says the Doncaster is OUT for his smart mare Skyerush despite her impressive win at Randwick. He's sticking to his original plan of targeting the Emancipation Stakes a week later. Skyerush earned a spot in the $2 million race with a fine victory in the Doncaster Prelude. She showed stamina and courage to fight off Alma’s Fury by a half neck with Illo, having his first start for Chris Waller, grabbing 3rd place. Walter says: 'The aim has always been the Emancipation; her record shows those good placings she has had in her career don’t go against her at set weights and penalties...She won it last year and I think she can win it again.'

Kiwi trainer Murray Baker is considering running his susperstar It's A Dundeel in the Queen Elizabeth (2000m) at weight-for-age on April 27. He says:'“It is in the back of my mind but I won’t make any decision until the middle of next week...I don’t think he was severely taxed in winning the Derby.' Jockey James McDonald was almost lost for words in describing It's A Dundeel's explosive performance. He says: 'It is incredible, what a horse.'
