LATEST NEWS: Good to hear that Lauren Stojakovic has been named as the rider for Miracles of Life in the Blue Diamond Stakes. Connections have made the right move.

Cranbourne trainer Mick Kent has the enviable decision this week of deciding where to place his two unbeaten colts High Shot and Philippi as they make their Melbourne Festival of Racing debut in the coming weeks. The pair both hold a nomination for the Group 1 Australian Guineas on March 2 as well as the Darley Australian Cup (2000m) on March 9, however Kent said at this stage Philippi was the more likely to line up in the Guineas. While neither campaign was locked in just yet, Kent said he was leaning towards running High Shot in the Group 2 Autumn Stakes (1400m) at Caulfield on Saturday. "It looks like High Shot will run in the Autumn Stakes on Saturday with a view to running him in the Autumn Classic (Group 2 1800m) two weeks later," Kent said. "The likely path for Philippi is to run Saturday week (February 16) in the C.S. Hayes Stakes (1400m) and then in the Australian Guineas two weeks after that." (Racing Victoria).
