Starting the day as a $10 chance, Pierro is now $6.50 with only Samaready ($4.40) in front of him. Pierro was friendless in betting for the Silver Slipper Stakes at Rosehill, drifting from $2.80 to $4.40, but proved too strong for the heavily backed Hussousa.
