Craig Williams ends his final weekend in Japan with the ride on the favorite in the $2.25 million Arima Kinen (2500 m) at Nakayama on Saturday. Williams, who rode a treble in successive races at Chukyo last Saturday and finished fourth in the Grp 1 Ashai Hai Futurity yesterday, rides Rulership in the Grp 1 Arima Kinen, reports TVN. Rulership ran third behind Gentildonna and Orfevre in the Japan Cup after virtually sitting down in the stalls and missing the start. Gentildonna and Orfevre will be missing from the Arima Kinen with the main danger to Rulership coming from Dark Shadow, which finished fourth in the Japan Cup. Williams said Rulership had undertaken barrier practice since the Japan Cup and behaved well when placed in the gates last Friday.
