His connections are keen to win the Melbourne Cup and they are banking on him receiving at least a 1.5kgs penalty to lift him into the field with 53kgs. A penalty for the imported stayer, who has not won a race for more than three years in France before his Australian debut on Saturday, will be announced today.
Glen Boss is denying Twitter-fed rumors saying he's ditched his Cox Plate ride on Ocean Park to partner the favorite Pierro. Bossy's manager Reece Murphy says the Twitter chat is all wrong. 'Glen is sticking with Ocean Park,' he says. Pierro's trainer Gai Waterhouse is expected to announce the Cox Plate rider on Tuesday for her two three-year-olds Pierro and Proisir.
