Australian Turf Club marketing manager Bettina Brown says the public areas trackside have reached capacity for Black Caviar's appearance on Derby day at Randwick on April 13. There are still 500 tickets for the infield at $25 each but there is a chance more public tickets could be made available on the grandstand side.
''We are assessing the capacity of the new grass area and hopeful that we can fit some more people in,'' Brown said. ''The only guarantee to a spot trackside to see Black Caviar at the moment is to become a member of ATC. [But] we want to give as many people as possible from Sydney a chance to see the big mare.''
