Another UK name has been thrown in the ring for the Caulfield Cup and Melbourne Cup...Latest reports saythe James Fanshawe trained Dandino could head for the Melbourne Cup following encouraging signs of a return to form at Glorious Goodwood. Matthew Budden, racing manager for owners Elite Racing, says: "We were really pleased with his performance. It was a decent effort and it was nice to see him bounce back after Newmarket, where he obviously didn't handle the ground...All the similar races are open to him, although James did also put him in the Caulfield Cup at the nomination stage...When Johnny Murtagh got off him the other day he said he would be an ideal horse for the Melbourne Cup, so that option is open to us if we want to take it...The race is a while away yet, but we obviously have to give it some thought as we would probably have to give him a break. We'd want to make sure he was going down to Australia in top form."
