An extended campaign is on the cards for NZ bred Shamexpress
An extended campaign is on the cards for NZ bred Shamexpress during the European summer but he is likely to race in only one of the sprint features at Royal Ascot. The Newmarket Handicap winner is nominated for both the King’s Stand Stakes and Diamond Jubilee at Royal Ascot in June. But trainer Danny O’Brien says the three-year-old colt willprobably only run in the King’s Stand (1006m) on the opening day of the famous carnival on June 18 with the possibility of staying on during the European summer. Craig Newitt will ride Shamexpress in the King’s Stand.
