An expected heat wave has prompted Racing Victoria and the Melbourne Racing Club to amend times for Saturday's C.F Orr Stakes meeting with the first race at 11am. Temperatures are set to soar beyond 40c, leaving little option but to bring the meeting forward so the majority is not conducted at the predicted warmest times of the day. The first four races will be run with 30 minute intervals, the C.F Orr Stakes will be at 2.45pm and the last race on the nine event card to be completed at 3.20pm. (racingnetwork)
