QUADS? TRY EIGHT

There are twelve acceptors for the fifth race at Mackay.

They are:

CRAIGLEA MUSTANG

CRAIGLEA MAC

CRAIGLEA ROMEO

CRAIGLEA VIPER

CRAIGLEA COBRA

CRAIGLEA SHANIA

CRAIGLEA FAITH

CRAIGLEA PRISTINE

and four other horses that were unlucky to be called by less creative names...

Well, with a bit of luck (and perhaps a few dollars across the table) the Winston Group Handicap could have been named the CRAIGLEA HANDICAP.

I'll keep you posted to see how they run. For the record, they carry numbers 1.2.3.5.6.7, and there are also 11 and 12 which are the two emergencies.

Funny old world isn't it?

Hoofnote: Seven of them ran (out of ten runners). They ran 1st, 3rd and 4th, so honour was established. The winning Craiglea paid $6.10 on the NSW TAB, so backing all seven was not a good idea...
