A FLYING visit to Brisbane for Michael Rodd could not have gone any better yesterday. The jockey left yesterday's breakfast with the stars at Eagle Farm with two positives for Saturday after working Stradbroke favourite Whobegotyou and problem filly Dariana, reports the Sydney Morning Herald.

Its report adds: Whobegotyou and Dariana were among the best workers for the morning and the Bart Cummings filly passed her barrier test with flying colours to be cleared to run in the Queensland Derby on Saturday. With the filly confirming her place in the Derby, she was backed from $11 to $7 with TAB Sportsbet yesterday.

''After they heard about her work and that she was right to run in the Derby, Dariana was the only horse punters have wanted to back,'' TAB Sportsbet's Glenn Munsie said. ''We wrote a $3000 bet at $11, $2500 at $9 and there has been a stack of smaller money for her.''

Rodd had started his morning with Whobegotyou and the two-time group 1 winner capped off his Stradbroke preparation strongly.

''I really wanted to get a good feel from Whobe and that's what he gave me,'' Rodd said. ''It was very good work and he pulled up very well, which was the best thing about it.''
