Tye Angland has returned from Hong Kong in the best possible way riding a winner his first day back at the races in Sydney on The Alfonso for Chris Waller, reports Racing Network.

Angland who recently left Hong Kong where he was ranked fourth with 48 winners on the Hong Kong jockeys premiership praised Chris Waller for his support since returning home.

“I couldn’t do it without the support Chris has given me. I thank him thoroughly”, said Tye.

The Alfonso having his third run back from a three and a half month spell opened $4.20 on track before starting $5.50 and Tye believes the horse has the ability to continue to improve this preparation and win better races.

“Chris didn’t really give me an instructions, he left it up to me. I waited to see how he jumped and we ended up in a great spot and he hit the line strong”.

“It’s the first time I have ridden him, he did everything right. I reckon he’ll win a Saturday race for sure”, said Tye.
