The Mick Kent-trained Charlevoix remains a strong favourite to win the South Australian Derby at Morphettville on Saturday.
The colt opened at $4.50 in the all-in market and is now $3.70 after drawing barrier 11.
Darren Weir’s Howard Be Thy Name is gunning for four straight victories and is best backed to beat the favourite having firmed from $7 into $5. He will start from barrier 6.
“The money suggests there’s not much between the top two in the market, with both coming off strong wins last start”, TAB’s Glenn Munsie said.
“It’s almost dollar for dollar but just today, Howard Be Thy Name is the best supported and has the runs on the board at Morphettville, winning two from two.”
