SPURTONIC ($4.20) has opened clear favourite to win Wednesday’s Cameron Handicap (1500m) at Newcastle. The Gai Waterhouse-trained four-year-old is unbeaten this preparation and has drawn ideally in barrier six.
“It looks a great betting race, but Sprurtonic looks to get the run of the race,” said TAB’s Matt Jenkins. “He should be popular with punters given he has won all three starts this time in and will be hard fit.”
Spurtonic is $71 to win the Epsom Handicap at Randwick on 5 October.

· TOYDINI ($6.50) has drawn awkwardly but is coming out of the Warwick Stakes, which has since produced winners in Hawkspur and Foreteller
· THAT’S A GOOD IDEA ($6.50) has won two straight and broke the track record in most recent win at Randwick
