DUAL Cox Plate winner So You Think looks to have run his last race after connections found the stallion was sore when inspected in his box. He had been scheduled to run on Sunday, reports The Age.

It says: The wife of trainer Aidan O'Brien confirmed last night that So You Think, one of Australia's finest gallopers in recent times, had gone amiss.
''So You Think was found to be lame in his stable this morning,'' she tweeted.

The injury not only scuttles plans for So You Think to contest Sunday's Eclipse Stakes at Sandown in England - which was to be his last racetrack appearance - but it also thwarts any chance of him racing again in Europe. The 10-time group 1 winner is due to fly out of England later this month or early next month to stand at Coolmore Stud, in the Hunter Valley.

When trained by Bart Cummings, So You Think took Australian racing by storm when he won the Cox Plate as a three and four-year-old.
He will stand at stud for $66,000. Aidan O'Brien recently conceded that he may have erred in the training of So You Think but has always maintained that he was one of the best horses he had had through his star-studded stable.
