Geelong flop...Sertorius OUT of Melbourne Cup

Sertorius is officially out of the Melbourne Cup and the remainder of the spring. Trainers Jamie Edwards and Bruce Elkington late yesterday advised Racing Victoria stewards the horse would be going for a spell.

Racing Network reported during the day Sertorius was likely to be out of all spring engagements after failing in Wednesday’s $300,000 Geelong Cup.

He joined other Melbourne Cup withdrawals yesterday in Sangster and Zanbagh.
