Ranvet Stakes winner The United States retains favouritism for this week’s Longines Queen Elizabeth Stakes following the barrier draw this afternoon.
The Robert Hickmott-trained galloper has come up with gate eight in the 14-horse field with TAB leaving the $4.20 price on offer about its chances.
Defending champion Criterion, having his last start before retirement, has firmed up slightly from $8-$7 after drawing gate two.
Others to have moved in the market include Mongolian Khan ($26-$21) while Hauraki is $5 out to $7 – he will begin the race from gate 14.
In the Sydney Cup, Libran has firmed from $3.20 to $3 after drawing barrier three.
The Chris Waller-trained runner opened up at $101 and is carrying some significant multis into Saturday’s Group One.
