Pride of Dubai has been a big firmer to win the Doncaster Mile after winning a trial at Randwick yesterday. He's been backed from $11 into $8.
The boom three-year-old colt has been the most popular runner in Doncaster betting since impressing in a hot trial.
“He has had a long layoff and it will be interesting to see which way connections go with him this autumn,” said TAB’s Gerard Middleton.
“It was a strong trial and our bookies thought it was impressive enough to install him equal favourite.”
Press Statement, who finished third in the same trial as Pride of Dubai, remains an $8 equal favourite. Vanbrugh has drifted from $11 to $15.
Vancouver was an $11 chance before coming out of the market.
