Brett Prebble, the leading jockey in Hong Kong, has gained the plum ride on Crystal Lily in the Golden Slipper Stakes at Rosehill on Saturday week, reports The Age.

It says: Prebble will replace jockey Damien Oliver, a decision announced yesterday by leading part-owner David Moodie, who confirmed that he would pay a $150,000 late-entry fee for the filly.

''I spoke to Brett in February,'' Moodie said. ''He was very very keen to be aboard Crystal Lily and I gave him an undertaking that if she starts he could have the ride.

''It was a decision not based on whether I wanted Oliver or Prebble, it was a matter that Prebble had given me a firm undertaking in February and I'm just honouring that undertaking.''

Crystal Lily is $6 second favourite for the group 1 Slipper behind Military Rose at $3.20.
