CHAMPION jockey Damien Oliver was yesterday booked to ride promising colt Masquerader in Saturday week's group 1 Golden Slipper Stakes at Rosehill.

On Sunday, Oliver lost the mount on Crystal Lily after connections of the filly honoured an arrangement with Hong Kong's leading jockey, Australian Brett Prebble.

Prebble was so taken with Crystal Lily after riding her at Caulfield last month that he asked for the Slipper mount.

Masquerader stormed into Golden Slipper calculations when he ran home hard to win the group 2 Todman Slipper Trial at Rosehill last Saturday.

Trainer David Payne said then that the colt's owners would pay the $150,000 late-entry fee to run the son of Lucky Owners in the $3.5 million event.

Managing part-owner David Moodie will also pay the late fee for Crystal Lily to take her place.
