Nigel Blackiston is planning an ambitious three-state autumn campaign for his new stable star, Suavito.

After another brave win, this time in the Group 2 $300,000 Momentum Energy Stakes (2000m) at Flemington on Saturday, Blackiston is looking at Group 1 races now with his daughter ofThorn Park.

“She'll go straight for a break now, then when she comes back I’ll look at giving her one run in Melbourne before we head to Sydney for the carnival up there,” Blackiston told Racing Network on Monday.

“We’ll look at the (Group 1) Coolmore (in Sydney) then I think we’ll hold her back a little and go to Queensland for the Stradbroke,” Blackiston explained.

The Brisbane Turf Club announced last week that next year’s Group 1 Stradbroke Handicap would carry an unprecedented $2 million in prize-money, making it an attractive lure for the best horses in the land.

“We were really proud of her campaign and she seems to have taken her performance to a new level, so in the autumn we’ll give her a chance at the better races,” Blackiston said
