TRAINER Leon Macdonald expects to be spending quite some time in Melbourne in the spring as he readies early Melbourne Cup fancy Rebel Raider for his campaign, but the Adelaide horseman will be represented at Betfair Park tomorrow with two-year-old Full On Filou, reports Andrew Eddy of The Age.

Macdonald spent $80,000 to secure the More Than Ready colt at the Melbourne premier sales last year and he looks to be living up to his trainer's high hopes after a moderate start to his career. Full On Filou has started three times in Adelaide and finished no closer than sixth but he did resume from a 19-week spell with an impressive 6.5-length trial win at Morphettville on June 1.

Macdonald entered the colt for a $30,000, 1200-metre race at Morphettville tomorrow but opted to run him in the $70,000 Conway Handicap at Betfair Park.
