Australia’s only representative for the Hong Kong International Races, Linton, flew to Hong Kong yesterday, reports Racing Network. He will have 13 days to prepare for the $US2.2 million Hong Kong International Mile (1600m) at Sha Tin, on December 8.

The world’s best turf horses will gather in Hong Kong to contest what has been described globally as the annual Turf World Championships.

Linton, a popular eight-year-old grey – almost white – gelding will be tackling many of the world’s best milers, including super French mare Moonlight Cloud, a multiple Group 1-winner in several countries this year.

Linton has been accompanied on his trip to Hong Kong by former rider Carolyn Mason.Trainer John Sadler will follow next week.
