The Moonee Valley Racing Club yesterday received 14 nominations for Saturday's William Reid Stakes, with a gallop at the track this morning to help decide if $10 million colt, Starspangledbanner runs, reports The Age.It says: ''We'll take him there and give him a good hit out, have a look at the field and then make a decision,'' said Troy Corstens, son of trainer Leon.Corstens said his father was still to decide whether to lodge an appeal against the six-month suspension he was given last week.
