Chad Schofield and David Hayes will combine at Moonee Valley on Friday night with Gregers in the Group 1 William Reid Stakes. While their partnership may no longer be as strong as it once was, with Schofield riding for outside stables while he considers his future with Hayes's Lindsay Park, Hayes has secured the services of his former apprentice in the 1200m weight-for-age race. It is expected that Schofield and Hayes will meet this week to decide whether the young jockey will return as stable jockey. Only a small field will line up in the William Reid Stakes with Gregers to take on Samaready, Shamexpress, Spirit of Boom, Fontelina and Jazz Song.
