Champion Winx will ramp up her preparations for her next campaign with a barrier trial at Rosehill.

Champion Winx will meet Australia's best sprinter Redzel in a barrier trial at Rosehill as the pair embark on their next campaigns.

Monday's 900m-heat on the course proper also features Group One winners Ace High (Victoria Derby) and Trapeze Artist (Golden Rose).

Winx ended the spring with her 22nd consecutive win in her record-equalling third Cox Plate while Redzel added the $10 million Everest and Group One Darley Classic to his Doomben 10,000 victory in the winter.

Redzel's program is scheduled to begin in the Group One Lightning Stakes at Flemington on February 17 with the Group Two Apollo Stakes at Randwick a possible starting point for Winx on the same day.

She is likely to follow a similar path as previous years to the Chipping Norton Stakes, George Ryder and Queen Elizabeth.

Trainer Chris Waller and her owners will then decide whether she travels to England for the Royal Ascot meeting in June.

The Peter and Paul Snowden-trained Redzel's final autumn goal will be the TJ Smith Stakes at Randwick in April after which he will be prepared for a defence of The Everest in October.
