High-profile colt The Autumn Sun will stand his first season at Arrowfield Stud for $77,000 with champion stallion Snitzel to remain at $220,000.

Recently retired colt The Autumn Sun will stand his first season at Arrowfield Stud for $77,000.

Arrowfield announced its 2019 fees on Tuesday with Dundeel more than doubling his price on the back of his son Castelvecchio's Group One win in the Champagne Stakes on Saturday.

The stud's champion sire Snitzel remains at $220,000 while Not A Single Doubt goes from $99,000 to $110,000.

The winner of eight of his nine starts including five at Group One level, The Autumn Sun will stand at the stud as a replacement for his sire Redoute's Choice who died last month.

The Autumn Sun was bred at Arrowfield and stud boss John Messara bought back into him earlier this year,

"This is a pivotal year for us, the first time in two decades that Redoute's Choice is absent from our roster, and we look back with profound gratitude for all that he contributed to Arrowfield and the industry," Messara said.

"Our 2019 roster is very much his legacy, with five of his sons and a grandson, and five other outstanding young stallions that 20 years ago even I could not have imagined we would stand at Arrowfield. Collectively, they give us 11 very good reasons to be confident and excited about the future."
