Black Heart Bart out of G1 Orr Stakes

The C F Orr Stakes has been reduced to 13 runners after defending champion Black Heart Bart has been scratched from the Group One race.

Defending champion Black Heart Bart has been scratched from the Group One C F Orr Stakes with a foot issue.

It leaves premier Victorian trainer Darren Weir with two runners in Saturday's 1400m weight-for-age feature at Caulfield, headlined by $4 favourite Tosen Stardom and Brave Smash, an $8 chance.

The C F Orr Stakes is the first Group One race of 2018 in Australia and Black Heart Bart's scratching on Friday leaves a field of 13.
