Apprentice Ben Allen's bid to secure a ride in the Group One Memsie Stakes hinges on whether he can get off his rides at Moonee Valley.
Apprentice Ben Allen is considering relinquishing his rides at Moonee Valley to ride at the Memsie Stakes meeting.
Allen was hit with an eight-meeting careless riding ban at Sandown on Wednesday and has bookings in four races at Moonee Valley on Saturday.
He partnered the Darren Weir-trained Tosen Stardom into fifth place in last Saturday's P B Lawrence Stakes and was hoping for a six-day penalty to allow him to ride the former Japanese horse in the Group One Memsie Stakes at Caulfield on September 2.
