Profile
Warwick Farm is home to the Australian Turf Club. Its racecourse is a 1937 meter triangular track with a 326 meter straight. Races between 1000 and 2400 meters are run clockwise, with a sharp turn into the home straight. Races between 1000 and 1400m negotiate only the final bend, so barrier draws do not play as significant a part. Warwick farm plays host to the Chipping Norton Stakes, a Group 1 race over 1600m, in March and the Warwick Stakes, a Group 2 weight-for-age for three year olds over 1400m, in late August or early September. Warwick Farm Racecourse boast three first class dining venues: The Chipping Norton Room, on the first floor of the JHB Carr Stand; the Sky High Room, on the second floor of the JHB Carr stand (with sweeping views of the entire racecourse); and the Hobartville Room, on the first floor of the JHB Stand. Banquets for each room can comfortably accommodate 200. Cocktail events 350 (400 for the Sky High Room). Memberships, corporate memberships, and Apprentice Passes (13 – 17 year olds) are available through the Australian Turf Club.
