The square Clare Valley racecourse is 1450 meters around with rather short straights of 220 meters. Races are run clockwise between the distances of 1100m and 1800 m. The Clare Valley Racecourse currently hosts three races throughout the year. The main one being the O’Dea Electric Clare Easter Races April 4th 2015. The Taminga Hotel Clare Cup in November. And the Farmers Race Day, also November. The Clare Valley Racecourse has a fully air-conditioned multi-function centre with a split-level bar and dining room. This area can cater for numbers between 100 and 300 giving views of the track and surrounding vineyards. A pavilion area allows for outdoor picnicking and race viewing. Plenty of parking, no club memberships or corporate venues.
Clare Valley Racecourse is a rural track situated in Stanley Flat, just north of the township of Clare (one and a half hours north of Adelaide). Drive 6 km north from township of Clare via Main North Road.
