The Caulfield Racetrack (commonly known as ‘The Heath’ by locals) is a triangular shaped track of 2080 meters circumference. It has three straights, each 30 meters wide, with all turns having between 4 and 6% banking. Race distances vary between 1100 and 2400 meters. Many high-profile races are run throughout the year at Caulfield. October offers: The Caulfield Cup (Open handicap over 2400m), Caulfield Guineas (Open set weight over 1600m), and Caulfield Stakes/ Yalumba Stakes (3 year olds + set weight over 2000m).
Among the many restaraunts, eateries and conference venues at Caulfield are: The Black Caviar Restaurant is a triple tiered A la Carte’ public venue on the Skyline level of the Rupert Clarke Grandstand. The Manikato Restaurant is a public dining space available at the top of the Grandstand. The Promenade is a tiered members-only dining room with open views of the mounting yard, home straight and finishing post; each table has its own LCD colour TV.
Memberships and corporate suites are available throughout the year upon application.
