The triangular shaped Gosford racing course is a grass track of 1710 meters, with a tiny 250 meter finishing straight and very tight turns. Races take place clockwise. Gosford Racecourse conducts 20 meets a year (some of them night racing), with several of the more notable races including: The Raine and Horne Gosford Belle of the Turf Stakes, which opens the Spring Racing Carnival in October. And the Gosford Gold Cup an open handicap for 3 year olds and up, run over 2100m – the premier event of the Spring Racing Carnival. The Gosford Racecourse offers racegoers first class facilities: The twin tiered public J.H. Little Stand overlooks the entire course and is directly above a large public bar. The Paramount Function Centre offers venue catering for parties to up to 200, overlooking the finishing straight. The Cusick Room, on the first floor of the Cusick stand, overlooks the entire course and can cater for events of up to 400. While the Riverdale Room is an outdoor standing area on the ground floor of the Cusick Stand catering for up to 500 people.

From Wyong: Train – Central Coast and Newcastle Line, Buses – 78, 79, 80, 81 or 82 or drive via Pacific Motorway.
