Ciaron Maher will send Set Square for blood tests on Monday to confirm that she has taken no harm from her disappointing Vinery Stud Stakes effort.

The Crown Oaks winner ran the worst race of her career when 11th in the 2000-metre Group 1, which was won by fellow Victorian filly Fenway.

The lightly-raced daughter of Reset was uncharacteristically stirred up before the race and while Maher said she had a slower than normal recovery there were no other obvious physical problems.

“She seems bright and she ate up late night,” Maher said on Sunday morning.

“She got a bit stirred up in the mounting yard and was a bit stirred up prior to the race, which is a little bit out of character for her.

“I’ll just do a blood test on her on Monday and we’ll make a decision as the week goes on.” (www.racing.com)
